If Micosoft offers money for your old iPhones, they're going to try and sell you a Windows Phone. All I have to say is, good luck! When people switch from Apple, it's usually to go to Google's Android phones. I don't have one friend who owns a Windows Phone. I've believed for awhile now that Micosoft has been behind the curb and they seem to be doing everything they can to become "hip" and "cool". Fact is, people have Windows 8 because their new computers come pre-loaded with it. It's not because they actually WANT it!
Don't get me wrong, Windows 8 isn't terrible if you have a touch screen. They just seem to be focused on younger clientele and said "screw traditional PC users!" It's funny, I would have loved to have a Windows phone back when I bought my first iPhone. I loved the idea of all my devices being connected that way! I use to play games on my Xbox 360, and then watch movies on my Windows PC. After awhile, you just get tired of waiting.
Fact is, Google and Apple just beat them to the punch. For me, it's simply too late. If I switched to all Apple, I could have an awesome setup. An Apple TV connected to my Mac computer and all my iPhone stuff sync'd to the cloud. I don't much care for over-priced computers though... Not when I can download free Google Apps and sync things that way.
Bottom line, if you have an extra iPhone lying around, take advantage! Just be ready for a hard sales pitch on a fancy new Windows Phone. Sorry Micosoft, you're just a little too late for me. I have to say, I'm very surprised at their recent collaborations with Apple in recent weeks. What do you think is next?
